Postal Research and Planning Institute Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Postal Research Institute") is a direct unit of China Post Group Co., Ltd. The predecessor was the Institute of Postal Science and Technology of the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications, which was founded in 1965, and was changed to the Scientific Research and Planning Institute of the State Post Bureau in 1999, and transformed into an enterprise-based Postal Science Research and Planning Institute in 2002.
